Two Weeks Until the Aesthetica Art Prize Future Now Symposium 2017

I hope you are well. With the Future Now Symposium only two weeks away, I wanted to get in touch to see if you could share the event with Orpington Photographic Society’s photographers via your social media and newsletter. The Symposium is a key destination for artists, curators and art world professionals to network and debate current themes and trends in contemporary culture. One Day and Two Day will be for sale online until 24 May.

The Aesthetica Art Prize Future Now Symposium takes place 25-26 May at York St John University. Addressing themes in today’s artistic climate through lectures, panel discussions and portfolio reviews, the Symposium considers the arts ecosystem within a broader social context. It is a place for the exchange of ideas, offering support, talent development and networking opportunities.

Welcoming speakers from some of the UK’s leading art organisations, publications and galleries, Future Now gives attendees the opportunity to meet those who are shaping the art world today. Hear directly from leading artists, curators, academics and representatives from major cultural institutions including Tate, Art Fund, Magnum Photos, Whitechapel Gallery and many more.

Opportunity for Photographers: Aesthetica Art Prize 2017 Call for Entries

I hope you are well. The international Aesthetica Art Prize 2017 is currently open for entries, presenting an opportunity for photographers in your network to showcase their work to wider audiences and further their engagement in the art world.

Prizes include £5,000 for the Main Prize winner, a group exhibition for shortlisted artists and editorial coverage in Aesthetica Magazine (311,000 readership), and publication in the Art Prize Annual, Future Now for 100 shortlisted and longlisted artists.

To date, the Aesthetica Art Prize has supported a wealth of artists who have progressed their careers since their exposure through the Award, including gaining exhibitions in the UK and internationally.

We would really like photographers from Orpington Photographic Society to know about this opportunity. If you could share this news that would be fantastic, and your help would be greatly appreciated.
