Anyone interested in taking photos of our local cyclist group called GS Avanti

Bazza
In response to email request over one month ago, I have just received the below request for participants
- if interested suggest you contact Johny Edwards direct via gsavanti@hotmail.co.uk

NB I may consider - Sunday 9th August if anyone wishes to join me.

+++++

Thank you for your interest and sorry for the lack of communication since. We have a couple of upcoming opportunities to take some photos and thought I would share these with you.

There will be three small (first and second) prizes based on the following categories upon which photos will be judged (but all photos submissions will be welcomed):

Racing [ To best represent the GSAvanti racing]
Sunday Club Ride [ To best represent the fun and enjoyment of the Sunday Social Club Ride]
Social [ To best represent the friendly and social nature of the club ]

There are principally two types of events that we are looking to provide opportunities:
Sunday Club Ride
Perfect opportunity to capture riders at the meeting point, on the route if required (routes will be provided) or at the mid point café stop where hopefully we will all convene (rough eta provided).
Time Trial
These are racing events where GS Avanti compete against two other local clubs. Therefore only photos of GSAvanti riders racing are admissible as selected photos (but all uploads are welcome).

We thought we would share a number of dates with you to allow you to capture different events and to allow people to find dates that might be convenient. So far the initial two dates  are:

Sun 9th August – morning – Sunday Club Ride
Thurs 30th July - evening - Time Trial
Sat 25th July – evening – Club Skills/Fitness Training and 4 person Time Trial club competition @ Gravesend Cyclopark, DA11 7NP, (track has been hired by the club privately between 4pm – 7pm)
[as this is tomorrow I don’t expect anyone to attend but thought I would add it just in case anyone is available and interested in attending]

The following forum link will provide all information on these events including times, locations etc as well  how to submit photographs details :
http://www.gsavanti.co.uk/forums/topic/photo-session-information/

A couple of additional dates will be added in the future and will available via the website link above.

We hope to use the submitted high resolution photos for the club website (to replace the photos of our members in our old kit) and for marketing and other club related promotional activity.

If the you or any of your members have any questions, please send emails to gsavanti@hotmail.co.uk and I will be happy to help.

Kind regards,

Johnny Edwards

Sorry Barry, I'll be away on annual holiday. To bad as that could be a fun shoot.

I'm away on the 9th so can't do that. Tomorrow's track event looks promising but I'd want to go with A.N.Other.

The evening race on Thursday could be easy as it's on our doorstep. Avril could do it from her back window!

I'd think as they turn off the A21 into London Rd would be a good spot as it's a very sharp bend. Reaching the top of Polhill should show some good expressions on their faces too.

Received notification from gsavanti@hotmail.co.uk - sorry about short notice

Barry,

Just to announce that there is an inter club social at the end of tonights TT at the pub near the finish of the Polhill course.

I am not aware whether anyone is likely to attend, but thought I would let you know in case you or another member might be interested.

If people who are interested in taking shots could let me know (aside from yourself who already has done so) at gsavanti@hotmail.co.uk it will allow me to ensure that they are expected and that myself or another club member is able to help with enquiries.

Regards,

John
