David Grimwade

Chris Sawyer
Jan has let me know that David Grimwade passed away in August this year.

He was a much valued member of the club for some 40 years or more.  He was the Chair of the club from 2000-02 and served on the committee for many years after that.

David was our main contact with the church before me and set up the gallery of prints we see in the corridor.

That is very sad news.  He was a true gentleman.

This is very sad news but probably not unexpected, little disappointing that nobody from the Church made contact with our club on his passing as I would have definitely attended his funeral.

Very sad news. He was easy to talk to and had a genuine interest in the club, continuing to participate until his last season. Disappointing we were not informed earlier.

Good morning all.

I did some research and it seems David’s neighbour didn’t give me the correct month.

I found out there was a service for him at the church on 18th April so he must have died before 4th April when the notice went out.  I am sad we didn’t know.

Also, there was a service for Don Bissett on 4th April after his death on 20th February.

Thanks Jan for your investigative work - it sounds a bit shambolic which Mr G would be very disappointed about.

Perhaps the Church will have a service or something later like they’re doing for Don.

Both lovely guys …..

How very sad! Hope Mr and Mrs G are both back together. Let's all raise a cup of coffee, tea or water on Tuesday evening for them both
