Re: Drawn by Light Exhibition - RPS at Science Museum

Had a great day up at the Science Museum to see 'Drawn By Light' the RPS collection. I've always loved the Steve McCurry image 'Afghan Girl' but was surprised you could even see the land, sky and a building in the reflection of her eyes.

The set of images that stood out for me were those by Lt. Col. Melvyn O'Gorman, Christina. I had wondered why they had been used to promote the collection but to see they were taken way back in 1913 was hard to believe. Such a timeless set of images. I had assumed they may have been taken in the 60's and to be honest they could have been taken much later.

On the way back to Victoria I came across a photographer taking a photo of a photographer, so I joined in...:

Thanks to all who attended the Drawn to Light Exhibition, which i think was enjoyed by everyone.

My thoughts being the numbers using negatives as layers on many pre 1900 prints, one or two having up to 20 layers being burned and dodged, the only difference being no Creative Cloud.
