The Ross Cup is back!
This is a print competition and there are trophies to be won. Each club enters 8 prints which are marked out of 20. There is usually an exhibition of prints at the venue. I will post details of our entries nearer the time. ![]() |
Message from the KCPA about the Ross Cup print competition....
Dear Club member. KCPA Ross Cup 2024 The Kent County Photographic Association (KCPA), invites you to come along to see the printed images that have been entered into the KCPA Ross Cup Competition by KCPA affiliated clubs. The event takes place on 28th July at Ditton Community Centre. Kiln Barn Road. Aylesford,Kent. ME20 6AH. Doors open at 1pm with a £5 cash fee payable on the door. The event is expected to finish around 5.30. Do come along and see what images have been entered, what images have won Merit Awards and listen to our judge Marcus Scott Taggart comment the highest scoring image for each club. Trophies will also be given out for Best Image of the competition, the Lakeland Trophy will be awarded for the Best Landscape image, plus the Most Improved club and to the club that has been awarded the 2024 KCPA Ross Cup Competition Winners Trophy. Dear Club members. ROSS CUP FINAL REMINDER. Do come along to the return of our Prestigious print competition, the KCPA Ross Cup. Clubs enter the competition by submitting 8 prints from their club members, in the hope of winning the trophy over other clubs affiliated to the KCPA. This year's Ross Cup competition takes place on Sunday 28th July 2024 at Ditton Community Centre, with doors opening at 1pm. Presentations will be made to the Merit Award certificate winners (max 10). The Mick Smithson Shield and Premier Award Certificate will be awarded to the Photographer, who in the opinion of the Judge has produced the Best Print. The Lakeland Holidays Landscape Trophy will be awarded to the Photographer who in the opinion of the Judge has entered the Best Landscape Print. Most Improved club trophy will be presented to the club with the highest placement as compared to their position in the competition the previous year. The Ross Cup Trophy, will be presented to the club who has achieved the highest total marks in the competition from the 8 prints they have entered. Barrie Duffield, David Bacon & I attended the Ross Cup today.
