Echo the thanks and sentiments. Was a good evening and enjoyable to shoot to a theme as well.

Evening all,

Thanks for the kind comments on last night. The aim was to make it interesting and engaging, with support from Chris Swayer and George we did it. It is an interesting experience to review and critique all the photos, I've gained a different perspective on what it entails. It was handy to be able to offload the scoring ;)

There was some good quality work in this PDI challenge, as we always do. Some images would do better in regular competition (Ron and Peter), others were equally suited to the challenge and regular competition.

Any suggestions for PDI challenges for next season are welcome, as are ideas for member's evenings.

Regards,

Ian

Hi Ian,

I have been considering ideas for future PDI Challenges for next year.

1) Triptych Sequential Shooting ) Subject ideally should be a sequence of shots perhaps similar to below Kingfisher I shot yesterday

2) The Everyday Object Indoor or Outdoors from unusual angle or views and colour

3) The ultimate Composite - Design an image using your OWN original (Not AI) photos to make a perfect Composite Image - allowing for correct Colour / Ambience / Reflection and most importantly Perspective (audience participation to try pinpoint the various layers being used)

4) Moody Monochrome with a Film Noir style - This style originated in many vintage films and the use of light and dark to convey a mystery has an interesting effect

Some of the above may require the use of Photo Software, if this is the case we could consider pairing to work together on the software element.

Ideas and voting would be worthwhile
cheers
