I have received the following e-mail from Quest Photography. I must admit I've never heard of them, so cannot vouch for their quality. Please take a look and contact them directly if you are interested.
Hello Orpington PS
I hope you don’t mind this email out of the blue. I’m contacting you because I thought you & your club members might be interested in Quest’s photographic workshop brochure for 2019.
Quest has been run by Colin Westgate for 25 years. I’m sure you will know Colin - he is a super photographer, very involved with the EAF, the UPP and the Royal Photographic Society (he’s a Fellow). He may well have judged or spoken at Orpington PS before. Last year I teamed up with Colin to help run Quest. I have experience of running workshops in the UK and the US and write for magazines such as onlandscape.co.uk and Black & White Photography. Quest prides itself on running relaxed, fun, informative workshops in amazing locations, so that everyone, from beginner to advanced, can get the best out of their camera, and we hope this will be of interest to club members in the CACC.
Between Colin and myself we will be running 11 workshops across the year. There are some great locations, both near and far, with lots of variety in terms of subject matter. For example we have 2 trips to Iceland - the first is in March when the countryside is still deep in the grip of winter and the landscape is at its most dramatic - many of the waterfalls are still frozen! We will also photograph the Wild Atlantic Way in the south west of Ireland; capture beautiful autumn colours in 2 x one day courses in Epping Forest; there will be opportunity to photograph the lovely misty autumnal Orcia valley in Tuscany in November. Colin is running a 3 week trip to India, and there are 3 shorter city trips (London, Paris and New York) focusing particularly on modern architecture and long exposure/luminosity masking techniques. (These three are ideal if you wish to bring a non-photographic partner to make the most of the city).
Would you be able to pass this email and the brochure on to your members at Orpington? I do hope there may be something to interest you in the programme, and look forward to hearing from you. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me either by email or phone (07515 549485). There is also the Quest website www.questphoto.co.uk with more information. If, in the meantime, you wish to make a booking, please contact Colin Westgate by email questphoto@btinternet.com direct, or me at thomaspeck1@me.com
Kind regards
Tom
