Quiz Night - Tuesday 11th December 2018

Next week is the annual quiz night (11th December).  I promised last year that the questions would not be so fiendish this year and I think I have managed to achieve this.

You can bring your own (BYO) drinks and snacks to enjoy between questions and when fighting over the answers.  Hopefully this will get you in the festive spirit.

There will be teams of 3 or 4 people and there will be a modest prize for each member of the winning team.

Following the quiz, we will have an auction with the aim of raising funds for the club.  Please bring along any unwanted/unloved items.  They do not need to be photography related as a good bottle of whisky, etc is always appreciated.

My mother in law has passed on a couple of items that father in law used to use  Not absolutely sure what one is - seems to be a projector for slides?  I'll bring it in to get peoples views but doubt it will sell.  Second item is a camera bag with a lens and flash,  Again, I doubt it will sell but you never know.

I'll see what else I can bring.

Thank you to everyone who took part in a very enjoyable quiz night.  The final scores were:

1st (36 points) "Dazed & Confused" (Alan, Steve, Mick and Ian)

2nd= (33 points) "Anything Will Do" (Jan, David B, Richard)

2nd= (33 points) "Darkroom Divas" (Paul, Peter, Tracey, Philip)

4th (31.5 points) "Golden Oldies" (Malcolm, David G, Mavis)

Thanks also to everyone who contributed to the auction and to the gullible ones that bought the items.  

Thanks to Richard's selling technique we managed to raise £140 for the club.
