Saturday i attended the above event at Lordswood Chatham on behalf of OPS where 34 clubs were represented in this annual event held by the KCPA.
The prints are traditionally the highest marked from internal judging during the previous season (2013)
Historically OPS has won this competition way back in 1990 and 1975 with the first event in being held 1951.
Yesterday, Tracey won the Lakeland Holidays Landscape Trophy for her print 'Camber at Dusk' and then to my surprise and pleasure Orpington was awarded 'The Ross Cup Most Improved Club Trophy' for coming joint 5th from the 34 Clubs with 142 marks. The winners with 148 points were Aperture Woolwich and closely followed by Sevenoaks.
Other local clubs such as Beckenham came 13th and Tonbridge was joint 11th with 137 marks.
You will find below the 8 prints that were chosen from last year competitions plus i would also like to mention that Peter Humphrey was commented upon (as the Judge Marcus Scott-Taggart) displayed and commented one print from each club that entered.
Congratulations to OPS members as this will give us an important advantage when new members are considering joining a growing Improved Photo Club.
