Recently I entered a competition run by Simply Sevenoaks to find the new front cover for their accommodation guide. I have just been informed I have won said competition. Well chuffed.

Great stuff Alan - nice shot of Lullingstone Castle and your car will be immortalised in the pantheons of Sevenoaks tourist guides! It seems that you might have a new career as a cover page photographer.

They have now officially announced the result:
We have a winner . . . ! November 19, 2016 We're delighted to announce that the winner of the 2016 SDAF photographic competition is Alan Graham with an evocative photo of Matilda, a vintage Morris Minor Traveller parked by Lullingstone Castle gatehouse. Two classically 'vintage Sevenoaks' images in one shot! What a brilliant front cover for the 2017 edition of 'Spend Time in Sevenoaks'. Alan, Chelsfield resident and a member of Orpington Photographic Society, said he was 'well chuffed' at his success. We're chuffed too as the winning photo will be a lovely 40th season gift to Lullingstone Castle and the World Garden! And a fantastic promotion for one of the many delights of Sevenoaks District. Thank you too to the Vintage Attic, Sevenoaks who kindly provided a prize for the lucky winner. Thanks too to our two 2016 judges, Andrew Eyre, Sevenoaks Mayor, and Hannah Badley, co-founder of The Second Wardrobe, award-winning online clothes boutique. Simply Sevenoaks I have linked the Facebook announcement to our own page.

![]() Andrew Eyre the Mayor of Sevenoaks and Chief Executive of the The Stag Community Arts Centre presented prizes to Alan Graham and Barrie Duffield, both members of the Orpington Photographic Society, for images entered into this years Simply Sevenoaks accommodation guide front cover competition. Alan won the competition with his image of his Morris Minor Traveller at Lullingstone Castle whilst Barrie was a runner up with images from Great Comp Gardens. The free accommodation booklet will be available from next Spring in outlets around Sevenoaks. Alan had earlier been presented with a Christmas wreath by the owner of Vintage Attic Living Sevenoaks in Sevenoaks who also sponsored the competition. After the presentations the Mayor took us on a detailed tour of the theatre including the roof spaces down to the basements. The awards and OPS should get a mention in the Sevenoaks Chronicle in the next week or so.
