Paul Parkinson of Aperture Woolwich posted an open invite on the KCPA's Facebook page:
We have what promises to be a very good sports photography talk tonight and we're making this an open invite. Richard "Dickie" Pelham has 30 years under his belt shooting some of the most iconic sporting moments for UK daily newspapers like The Sun. Promises to be a great evening and you're all invited. Details are at the link below. https://madmimi.com/p/9d46c01?pact=38432-158466847-6987048802-0bb14a3e131b4145fb84af03f1eb7737cddac7e3 The link takes you through to a newsletter where the Zoom link can be found. |
Can someone record this and put on our Forum, if that's possible and legal?

Hi David - it took me 10 mins to sign in. You have to request the host for permission to record. I don't fancy that somehow.
Zoom has just crashed...now, it's back with empty Hackney Marshes... |
Brilliant evening and only just finished at 11pm, wonderful stories and anecdotes but unable two record, could you ask Paul to send copy over in due course.

Hi Barrie,
Yes, it was a great talk. I must admit I was getting a bit jealous of all the events he had been to. I gave up at 10pm when my Zoom decided to hang. I thought they were winding up anyway. I have asked Paul Parkinson if he has a recording as I am also keen on seeing the last hour. |
Unfortunately you may have missed the best over the final hour, especially his boxing images.
Well worth the effort and one way to improve a clubs profile with contacts like this on Zoom
Cheers

I have managed to get hold of the recording of last night's talk.
From Paul Parkinson (Aperture Woolwich): "Well.. we have permission and we have a recording. I missed the first handful of images because I was still letting people in from the Waiting Room but the link is below. Please don't share it too widely as Dickie's work is copyrighted, and not necessarily by him. We don't want to create waves... thanks." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5jLY6yAYuQ&feature=youtu.be Here is also a link to Dickie Pelham's book: 'A Life Behind the Lens - Thirty Years of Award Winning Photography from Sport's Most Iconic Moments'. https://amzn.to/3d81brx |
Well done Chris, I wondered whether it would be released.
