Sunset at Tower Bridge, 1st September

An addition to our events, with help from Barrie Duffield.

On Friday September 1st the tides and sunset align well for a photoshoot of Tower bridge at sunset.





My guess is we meet around 7PM in Wapping for the Photoshoot, we would be on the Foreshore for the best photos.
Perhaps meet earlier, re-visit one of the pubs from previous trips for refreshments, then take photos, keeping horizons straight?

Hi Ian,

Reading a photo from left-to-right makes your version an improvement on mine.  The Shard forms a neat finishing point for the viewer.

If this works I have found another iconic location on the Thames, this would be from North Side overlooking the O2 on Friday January 12 at 1637 to include a possible sunset & maybe the Moon. All very much dependent upon a decent forecast nearer the dates.

Not long to go until this outing. Who is still interested?

Sunset is 7:46PM, so what time should we meet and is anyone interested in meeting earlier for some food and drink beforehand?

There is a rail strike on Saturday 2nd September, it does not appear to be affecting services on Friday 1st, yet. We'll keep an eye on this.
