The Standard Chartered Weather Photographer of the Year competition

Good morning Orpington Photographic Society,

The world’s most prestigious weather and climate photography competition is now open for entries!

I am getting in touch to share with you and your members that the tenth annual Standard Chartered Weather Photographer of the Year competition is now open for entries, until 18th June.

Run by The Royal Meteorological Society, the international competition showcases the world's most striking weather and climate photographs by amateur and professional photographers.

Free to enter, there are four award categories, each awarding a monetary prize and international exposure for the winning photographer.

Weather Photographer of the Year Capturing the beauty of the weather in a changing climate.

Mobile Weather Photographer of the Year An award dedicated to photographs taken on a smartphone or tablet.

Young Weather Photographer of the Year Awarding young budding photographers under 18.

Weather Photographer of the Year Climate Award An award which highlights and tells the story of climate change.
