It covers a range of topics presented in a unique way, designed to draw the eye and to express the elements and stories within. Images of landmarks and travel scenes are subverted to reveal the relationship between humans and the environment around us. Sports reportage is presented in a new way to uncover hidden drama and unique moments. Architectural depictions are reframed to expose unseen characteristics. This presentation spans various aspects of the presenters photography and personal projects, all underpinned by the idea that a shift in technique and composition can transform the standard photographs we are all used to seeing in talks, competitions and exhibitions.“Capturing The Imagination” is about standing with one foot inside the box, and one foot outside. It represents a passion and the channeling of emotion in photography, and provides inspiration. Members Evening - 10th March 2026 – ShadowsShadows are a product of strong light being blocked. You can find shadows everywhere. Walk a street in early morning or late afternoon and you’ll see long, shadow shapes falling off buildings, rails, bikes, and people. You can also shoot overhead for an interesting angle. Indoors you can even use a single lamp to turn an ordinary scene into shapes and silhouettes. The game is to notice the light first, then place yourself (or your subject) in the shadows. Members Zoom Evening - 17th March 2026 - Theme - Return of the Unexpected & Unknown(The Big Reveal). After the success of last seasons of unknown author editing challenge it’s back for another fun time. Exact timetable and details for editing and submitting images tbc.
