Hi,

Was researching a few things and found a free event at the Lea Valley Whitewater centre in September.


2022 ICF Canoe Slalom Ranking Competition And Extreme Slalom - 17th To 18th September 2022
When? Races will be on all day roughly between 08:00 - 17:00 on each day.

Price: It's free to attend, no ticket required.

Ahead of the 2023 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championship that will take place at Lee Valley White Water Centre in September next year, some of the best paddlers in the world will head to the course to battle it out across the weekend.

Heats will take place on Saturday followed by finals with the Extreme Slalom competition on Sunday.

The event is free to spectate, and with chances of GB paddlers winning medals, why not head along to watch some world class action!

Sounds like a good idea.  I'm looking forward to a return to Lea Valley for the canoeing.

Obviously I'm interested, for the potential photography and also to watch such an event live. Would be a good first event after the start of the 2022/2023 season.

This looks a re run of our original visit and I will def attending,

Richard as you will recall we managed to blag some Press Gillet’s (I think cost £10.00 per day) which allowed us access over the ropes.

I agree with Philips suggestion, the Sunday should have less traffic, so let's go for that date.
The event runs from 8:00am to 5:00pm. We should agree on number of cars etc nearer the time.

Three weeks to go until this event, Is it still the six of us (Barrie, Chris S, Philip, Richard, David Bacon and myself) going?

The event opens at 8am and runs until 5pm, what time do we want to arrive?

Was there anywhere there to get sensibly priced food and drink or do you take your own refreshments?
