I'm gathering the interest in outings using opinion polls on the forum. You can vote for any that you are interested in in this topic and if there is sufficient interest (probably 4 or more persons), I'll split further details out into another topic.
I've previously announced plans for Canada Heights and Brick lane, more details to follow shortly. The other, proposed outings are.
Seaside outing to Folkestone or Another
Folkestone has undergone a transformation the past 5-10 years, the old railway station at the docks has been developed into an arts venue and there were a number of street vendors, when I visited in 2019.
Best time June to Mid-July or September.
Return to Lee Valley
Checking for events, nothing detailed as yet.
September, if a big event is on.
Around the other half of the Isle of Dogs
Last year a few of us completed the western side of the Isle of Dogs, this time we would cover the eastern side. Start at Canary Wharf station and walk around to Island Gardens, on the eastern side.
Best times, April to end of June or September to October.
Thames Walk, Twickenham to Richmond
Needs a little refinement but starting at Twickenham, cover part of the town centre, then walk along the Thames to Richmond. It's quite flat and a few less built up than the areas nearer to us.
Best time April to end of May.
