The annual Christmas Quiz will be held on 10th December 2019.
Please bring along your own drinks and snacks. You'll need them to get you through the night!
There will be teams of 3 or 4 people and a prize will be given to each member of the best scoring team.
We will also hold an auction of photographic cast-offs and other stuff (such as bottles, books, unwanted gifts, etc) to raise much needed funds for the club. Please bring along anything you want to get rid of.
Hope to see you all there for what should be a fun evening.
Thank you for everyone who participated in the quiz last night.
The final result in a very closely fought contest was as follows:
1st - Doom Bar (Barrie D, Fay S, Philip B, Paul B) = 29
2nd - The Winners 2018 (Richard W, David B, Neil H, Morris) = 27
3rd - G-Team (George K-B, David & Mavis G) = 26
4th - Making the numbers up (Ian S, Alan G, Tracey E, Chris N) = 25
Every team won at least one of the rounds and special mention must be made of the G-Team as they had one fewer team member than the rest.
Thank you to those that contributed to the auction by way of supplying items to auction and to those whose paid for them. Anyone for a 50 year old projection stand? £23 was raised on the night.
Finally, wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
Thanks for a winning Quiz at last, my first since inception - must be something to do with a team effort.
I liked the format with those multi answers and especially that final "Freeze Out” round.
Have a great Xmas and New Year to all…...
