Should we send a representative?

Yes I think it would be good for a OPS representative to attend.  Unfortunately I can’t make this date.  My wife’s father died last week and this is the most likely date for his funeral.

I am really sorry to hear your news Philip.

Personally I am avoiding large gatherings at the moment so unfortunately would not be prepared to represent the club on this occasion.

Thanks Chris.  Yes it was a real shock.  Prior to his stroke, he was fit and healthy.  Although, he was 91 years old, he was still running 5ks.  We thought he would live for many more years.

I understand your concerns.  There should not be any pressure for anyone to attend.
