Little Venice Paddington basin

Not in the same league as Kings Cross but it has it's charms.

Distance, about 1.7 miles.

Paddington basin is a newish development, alongside the waterfront, a juncture of the regents canal, with a mix of old and new buildings. Little Venice has its charms, the variety of narrow boats along Maida avenue are worth seeing as is rembrandt gardens for a short stop.
At the end you can take Bakerloo line from Warwick Avenue or Paddington back to Waterloo or greater choice from Paddington

Sounds like a nice walk along the canal.  Should be good with the autumn colours.

Agreed, autumn colours could work well for this. Will look for dates in October, once I've planned my holiday.

Not for this trip but may be of interest next year, for a personal trip, the little Venice canal way cavalcade.
