London Canal Walk, Monday 8th August

Hi,

Updated to Monday 8th August after discussions.

Meet at Limehouse DLR station at 10:30am (maybe a little later if weekday). Train to Lewisham and change to the DLR or go to London Bridge, Jubilee line to Canary wharf and take the DLR 3 stops to Limehouse.

For this trip, a leisurely walk along the Regent's canal from Limehouse to Victoria park, a less often explored route than the Camden to Little Venice section.



At the end of the walk, around Victoria park, there is a nice Cafe by the lake and at the north end of the park are a few pubs with outdoor seating. To return home involves a bus ride to either Stratford or to London Bridge stations.

How does Monday the 8th August, starting at 11am sound?

I'm going to do a bit of recon next Thursday for the start point and Limehouse area, then I can finalise the meet. Hope there is a good variety of wildlife and views along this less travelled part of the canal, will let you know.

(PS) received my OM1 on the day before leaving for Scotland and extremely happy with its capabilites for speed and auto focusing accuracy.
