I took this photo back in 2014 on a visit to Northumberland. I’m deeply saddened and angry that someone has deliberately felled this iconic tree. Its situation in a dip in the land provided the perfect setting for this famous tree and I can’t believe it’s gone for good.

Really angry about this Peter, as are a lot of people in this country and around the world. Lot of  morons around, there will probably be do gooders making excuses for whoever did this awful crime.

Very sad...The first time I knew about this tree was when Peter showed his image.  9 years later and it's destroyed, so no chance of seeing it for myself.
