M42 Great Orion Nebula

Braved the frost last night to try out my modified Canon 600D. Ive had it about 2 years!! Bit of a trial remembering the capture program and everything else. This is M42, The Great Orion Nebula, it was not in a good position as it is on its way out, making way for galaxy season. I was pointing SW, which is an awkward position over next doors lights! Scope was a Sklywatcher ed80, woth a LP filter.  Only 17x180secs, 15darks, 15 flats and 15 dark flats.  3x10secs for the core. Never done only 180sec before, 300secs was too bright. THis is not a good image but really needed at least 30 subs, but was nippy out there and I just wanted to see if i could remember how to do it.

Fay, That's a great capture given the lights next door.  Not sure I really understand all of the terminology.  I should've paid more attention to your talk last year.
