Hi folks

Just to let you all know that I am trying to get my presentation loaded here but as the Forum file size is limited to 5Mb it is proving rather difficult.

I mentioned a few YouTubers last night, they are:-

Allan Walls Photography
Stewart Wood Macro Photography

Naturally there are many others.

If any of you wish to try Serene Stacker but have no files to practice with let me know and I will email some of mine to you for trial purposes.

Any other questions please fire them over

cheers aye!

Thanks for the talk last night Richard. I may have to stick to close-ups unless you send all your equipment up to me...

I'll try and see what can be done about loading up your presentation. One option may be to run it on a private Zoom meeting and record it. Then it can be added as a link to Youtube just like the others we have done so far.

Really enjoyed the session last night and thanks, went and viewed Allan Walls site afterwards and yes he's very British when discussing prep of insects.

The item i have had stored away for years is the Macro Raynox 250 conversion lens which according to other Olympus users works well with the Macro 1:1 60mm lens, just waiting for a step up ring to arrive and will test its capability but will be nothing like your equipment.

Hi Richard,  Thanks for the excellent talk last night.  It was especially useful to see your set up.  Now I know that I need a tent to cut out unwanted reflections.  Yesterday I was hiding under a duvet cover trying to cut out reflections.  It cut out the reflections, but I couldn't see the object.  Doh!

Chris is this the place to discuss what or how you photograph under a duvet...

Hi,

With a bit of fiddling, the presentation from last night.

Macro_slide_show_slides.pdf

Richard, thank you for an informative talk on the trials and tribulations of Macro photography. Will have to experiment soon, when I find my USB microscope again.

Ian, Thanks for posting Richard's presentation.

I just had one thought when I looked at the slide rail...Might the camera topple forwards as it moves towards the object and further away from the centre of gravity?

That was a stock image from the web, Sadly it does not show the protruding screw from underneath which screws into the camera body as shown in pic here
