Thanks for the photo Richard. I had guessed there was a screw to the camera base from the slider, but wondered if it was possible for the whole set up to tip forward. I guess you need a decent tripod to take the weight as the camera moves along. Then again, the movements are no doubt so small in total e.g. 1cm, not to make any difference.
