Hello,
It is just over 2 weeks until the start of the new season on Tuesday 12th September.
The first evening is an informal evening, the topic is "London - People and Places". For this we want you to bring in about 5 images on London, as you see it. The images do not need to be competition quality and we will ask you to talk about them.
The programme has been updated today to detail the first two members evenings in September.
On the 19th September, there are two topics. The first is welcome to new members. The second one is 'What I did in the summer'. Similar to the previous topic, bring in about 5 images showing what you were doing in the summer break and discuss them.
For the 26th September, the meeting will be split into two again. The first part is on 'The Impact of AI on photography' this will be a discussion on some guidelines on AI/photography from regulatory bodies and demonstrations of AI assistance tools in Photoshop, Pixlr or similar.
The second part of the evening is inspired by the first and requires some homework! Using a few images of your choice, clone out/AI content aware fill, an image to remove something, then present the after image and let the audience guess what you have been up to. Then show the before image. Any ideas or lessons learnt, please share with us.
Competitions
The first PDI entries are due, via email, in the correct format (Barrie), on the 26th September.
The first Print entries are due on the 3rd October.
The first PDI challenge, 'Edgelands' is due on the 17th October.
We look forward to seeing you all on the 12th September.
