Photo Comment Page

This post was updated on .
It was mentioned on Tuesday about having somewhere to post photos for comment etc. Should we have a specific page for that or just post under 'General'?

To kick off, here is my attempt at focus stacking. Thoughts?

Thank you Peter for kicking this off. This will be the page for adding comments and future photos.

As an image it looks great. I'm not an expert at stacking, just what my E-M1 can do in camera. How many images did you stack for this?

I don't possess a focussing rack so this was done by changing the lens focus manually. Only 17 images.

Thanks Peter - Good idea to have a specific page for photos.

The flower looks like a perfect photo-stack.  How have you managed to keep water droplets on the flower while photostacking?  Were there more when you started?

Peter I have a slider you can borrow to see if it's something you might need. I can bring it Tuesday.

Chris I removed your double post.

Hi Chris
Being only 17 images it only took about 5 mins to do so no issue with the water staying on the lily.

Peter, this could be the ultimate piece of kit using a controlled motor,

as usual from US and not at all cheap...

Here's another image for discussion and a reminder we have two member's meetings coming up that cover mobile phone images and meanders (travels). This covers both but unlikely to appear in either...

I took this last week in Singapore using my Samsung S7 in pano mode. This is just about 2/3rds of the image but what I find amusing is how the gent in the image has become somewhat distorted as he moved during the taking.

Quick competition, can anyone spot the deliberate mistake on this image?
