Hi,
Just wanted to thank the club committee for some interesting talks the past few weeks.
The 'chasing storms' talk was interesting and rather enlightening. I now know that it would not be my kind of holiday, too much travelling but the photos and the stories made for an interesting evening.
The last minute underwater photography by Gill McDonald was a total surprise. The photos that were presented were top notch and fascinating. Gill's passion for the subject and what it entails, , with the highs and lows, really shone through and some of the anecdotes were rather amusing. This was a good evening that went by too quick.
Finally this weeks Pat and Ian Collection (PIC) presentation was rather timely for me. I'm trying to work out what photos to use for the next print competitions, their presentation of some of their work and how they go about transforming photos gave me a number of ideas to try over the coming weeks. Again the presentation was good, they had a passion for the subject which added to the fun. The slightly interactive element engaged the audience.
Finally, I should apologise to Barrie for the 'Photoshopping' he does to photos, we joke about it but what he does is trivial compared to Pat and Ian

Looking forward to the next one in January
