Thanks for posting the links Ian.  I agree that Woolwich looks good for a visit.  There's plenty to see apart from the station.

Hi,

The plan, is to visit 3-5 stations and nearby places of interest. For example, it could be Woolwich, Custom House, Bond Street, Farringdon and Whitechapel. You takes photos of each station, then exit the station and visit something of interest within 10 minutes of each station. I could see this taking around 1 hour per station + local stop and of course a meal break somewhere en-route.

Starting point to be confirmed. The 51 bus goes from Orpington to Woolwich, only takes an hour!
A logical one could be to start at Farringdon, regular train to London Bridge, then Thameslink to Farringdon. For pay as you go Oyster card users like myself, you would easily hit the daily limit, which is:
Zone 4 £11.00
Zone 5 £13.10
Zone 6 £14.10

Will research this and aim to make this one of the first trips in March/April.

Hi,

The 4th/5th and 25th/26th March are currently free of strikes and planned closures. Can anyone make those dates?
