WW2 Veteran Portrait Project - Zoom talk - 20th May 2020

Chris Sawyer
We have received the following invitation to join a talk being held by Beckenham PS:

Beckenham Photographic Society will be holding the following zoom presentation on the 20th May 2020, if any of your members are interested they can individually contact the secretary at secretary@beckenhamphotosoc.org.uk for the log on details

The Power of Personal Projects
In this presentation UK Photographer Glyn Dewis will talk about the importance of personal projects and how they are the key to developing as a Photographer. Glyn will also go through his current 39-45 Portraits Project where he (until lockdown) was touring the UK photographing surviving World War 2 Veterans; an entirely self-funded project that has gained National News Coverage but with the sole intention of providing Veterans and their families with classic, timeless portraits. Glyn will also go through some Veterans stories and also the photography and lighting he uses to take these Veteran Portraits on location and will finish the presentation with some examples of retouching techniques he regularly turns to. You can check out Glyn's main website at https://www.glyndewis.com and also the 39-45 Portraits Project website at https://www.3945portraits.com

THIS EMAIL HAS BEEN GENERATED ON BEHALF OF BECKENHAM PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY AND IS FOR YOUR INFORMATION.

WE WOULD ASK THAT ANY REPLIES ARE DIRECTED TO THE PERSON(S) NAME IN THE E:MAIL IF APPROPRIATE.
