Yesterday I managed to get 'Me & My Shadow 2'. This was taken as it crossed the path of the leaf. It had been sitting on a nearby one before I captured it.



and today I managed 'Me & My Shadow 3'. This was taken as it took off from the leaf.

M&MS2 is a good one.  Almost incredibly symmetrical to the leaf.  It must take a lot of patience...

Chris I agree V2 is my favourite too. Patience is part of my old training but being in the right place does help.

The biggest help is having a camera with hindsight...

Richard, Polina Plotnikova is a regular certificate winner in this competition including in the mono section so I guess she'd understand but be supercritical.

Personally I like some of the images but have a long way to get the style I'm happy with.

I dipped my toes into the mono comp this year but didn't get shortlisted. I'm unlikely to try any of the other categories now as I don't have access to Lullingstone and I was hoping to get images more suitable for what they appear to be wanting.

Fantastic range of mono styles which makes me realise how much light plays major part in the quality as well as subject matter.
