solar eclipse

Malcolm Ming
Anyone fancy trying to take pics of the eclipse tomorrow morning?
Possibly at Goddington Park???
Alan, if you go, I'll need that lens I leant you.

The forecast is crap, but possibly forth a shot. We won't have another opportunity for years to come.

Is that tomorrow? I thought it was all day today. I haven't seen the sun at all...

I'll get the lens to you later tonight. I'm house bound waiting for Yodel, I have been ALL day... :o((

Yep, tomorrow. Apparently at 9.20 ish we'll see a partial 84% eclipse.  If there is a thin cloud cover, the sun should still shine through and you could take pics even without a filter.  If there was ko cloud I'd be stacking a big stopper along with anything else I have in the bag.  E.g variable ND and polariser.  Worth the experiment

Alan and I will be at the top of Warren road
I'm dropping my car off at Chelsfield Motorworks at the top of Warren Road.  Across the road from the motorworks is a gate top the walking area.  Meeting there around 8.30 ish.

It may be a wee bit early. Eclipse is at 9.30
