I found these details about the Lee Valley white water event this Saturday:

The visitor info is showing that the cafe is closed, so you may need to bring your own food and drink.

I also called Customer Services and they said that there is no entry fee.

Hi Barrie,

I have seen no details about meeting up.  What's the plan?

Great day out at Lee Valley today with Barrie, Chris S and Chris "machine gun" Nash. Also joining us at the site were Paul Brett and Bob Mabberley.
Apart from the good company today the other good thing was that it was 100% FREE !!!! (somebody even blagged a free media pass to go inside the ropes but we won't ask who!)
Thank you Barrie for getting us there and back safely - now judges beware for a few hundred canoeing shots
