Pop-Up Display 21st July 11am - 2pm

Update to all members/volunteers:

Chris from Orp1st called me today to say he has arrangements in hand to have the gazebos (3 at 3m x 3m) to be erected by 10am(ish). They have a couple of 'event' guys doing this but they still need us there at 10am to arrange the boards. They will take down the boards and gazebos at 2pm. Apart from grabbing our prints we might get away on time.

Chris also let it be know that this is our show so Orp1st will not be there apart from a quick visit to take a photo. We will have all the display boards to ourselves. He did ask that we do mention the calendar competition. I will make sure there is a link on our website front page directing those interested to Orp1st.

I have quickly printed a few OPS signs and some tear-off strips with our website address on.

"Just a side note, part of Orpington 1^st’s role is to be positive about the town and the photography competition is about getting people to look positively at their surroundings. I’m sure they wouldn’t anyway, but could you pass to your members our request that they don’t engage in negative talk about Orpington with our company name above their heads (the gazebos are branded)."

Good to see lots of help.  My wife is nagging me to go round to the Mother-in-law to help with the garden so, with your agreement, I'll be a no-show.  Hope you have a good one!

I would like to thank everyone who helped out today at our Pop Up display in Orpington High St. Our prints didn't blow down the road and a few members of the public took a keen intetest in the society.

We now need to start thinking about getting the word out for our Annual Exhibition on Saturday 1st September.
