Summer and Autumn 2021 Outings

Whilst considering the above outing I wondered whether anyone would be interested in a “Bluebell session” before they all disappear. I’am checking a very local area at the back of Farnborough Fields and depending upon uptake this could be arranged between 6th - 10th May or between 12th- 17th when I’am off on holiday.

As we all know Bluebells can be very difficult to photograph and it’s worth looking at alternative effects and perspectives, the above area has a very large area to spread over our group of maximum 6 members.

Response needed if interested please.....

Bazza, thanks for the advice etc.

Regarding Bluebells, there is a good offering up in Andrews Woods behind Polhill Garden Centre. Plenty of parking in Sevenoaks Council car park (Shacklands Road).
Walk over the bridge crossing M25 and lots of B'bells there (POINT A) or for the more adventurous wanting a better bloom take the path (RED ON MAP) towards Shoreham along the ridge line (POINT B)

Sounds good then for Andrew’s Wood, just checked out FN fields and fair to reasonable but not as prolific as previous years.

Just need to agree suitable date and time for numbers - 6th or 13th May look good for me...

BLUEBELL OUTING

Typical, no rain for months and Tuesday 6th looks wet, could be 13th at Andrews Wood for following, moi, Richard, Chris S, Phillip…..anymore

Just couple of other ideas for June

Either Long Exposure session at “Thames Barrier” south side or late evening full moon over Barriers 24/6 for 1940 hrs from North side.

Elmley nature reserve Isle of Sheppey, Heron, Hares, Marsh Harriers, Egrets and maybe Owls - day ticket pre-booked costs £6.00 (used to get in without ticket pre Covid) ideally by June we can have two in car

Your thoughts and interest would be welcome.

Very impressed with display of Bluebells at Andrews Wood today and hope we can get their next month before they all dissapear
