Some of the other ‘better’ photographers might say something different but, I wouldn’t bother. I don’t think the area and type of images would justify the extra weight.
Although, I may be wrong!!

Sounds good idea Jan, leaving the tripod etc behind and travel light.

If you need slow shutter just borrow a wall with bean bag or similar

But being younger you may have a different view…

I don't have a proper tripod. I have a gorilla tripod, it takes my Mirrorless camera or mobile and has posable feet for securing to rails and works ok for long exposure shots. Less than £10 on ebay and fit in the backpack.

No I would not take a tripod or a large lens
