One from this morning.

Spotted this little critter, which was only about 6mm long, climbing up the trunk of a Paper Birch tree (Betula Papyrifera) outside my house.

I had to predict the route it was taking to capture the image. My neighbours are starting to get used to my wanderings with my camera...

One for Armistice Day, my late brother's regimental cap badge. He was a commissioned officer in the 1st Battalion, The Queen's Regiment from the late '70s to the mid-'80s. Tours included Belize, Northern Ireland and Gibraltar.

I used a Lumix G Macro 1:1.8 30mm lens resting on my desk with just the light from my PC. I set my camera at ISO 100, f/11 which resulted in a 2" exposure. I have just cropped a little off the left-hand side but other than that it is framed as taken.
